Favella to potoczna nazwa miejskich slums\u00f3w, gdzie mieszkaj\u0105 najbiedniejsi, bezrobotni i nie zawsze legalni obywatele Brazylii. Dzielnica zosta\u0142a za\u0142o\u017cona na stromym zboczu g\u00f3ry na obrze\u017cach miasta. Szacuje si\u0119 \u017ce \u017cyje tam od 130 do 180 tys. ludzi, wi\u0119kszo\u015b\u0107 ma w domu pr\u0105d, jednak bie\u017c\u0105ca woda czy kanalizacja to ju\u017c lokalny luksus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Favella Rocinha nazywana jest miastem w mie\u015bci, zyje w\u0142asnym zyciem, kieruje si\u0119 w\u0142asnymi zasadami i &#8222;prawem&#8221;. Naprawd\u0119 trudno to opisa\u0107, g\u0119sto\u015b\u0107 zabudowy robi piorunuj\u0105ce wra\u017cenie, chodzenie po dzielnicy to cz\u0119sto przeciskanie si\u0119 tunelami i ciasnymi korytarzami. Favell\u0119 koniecznie trzeba zwidza\u0107 z lokalnym przewodnikiem &#8211; dla bezpiecze\u0144stwa i dla zdobycia ciekawych informacji.
